# What is Noah?

Noah is an AI desktop support app for Mac and Windows that diagnoses and fixes
common computer problems in plain English. You describe what's wrong; Noah finds
the cause, shows you exactly what it will do, and fixes it with your approval.
Every change is logged and undoable.

## What Noah does

You type the problem the way you'd say it to a person ("my Mac is slow," "Wi-Fi
keeps dropping on Zoom"). Noah runs a small set of audited diagnostic tools,
names the actual cause — the runaway process, the stuck queue, the broken DNS —
proposes a one-sentence fix, and runs it only after you approve. It then shows
the result, before and after, in numbers.

## What Noah can fix

- A slow computer — freezes, spinning fan, lagging apps
- Wi-Fi and internet problems — slow, dropping, failing on calls
- Apps that keep crashing — quitting, freezing, won't open
- Storage almost full — can't save, downloads piling up
- Battery draining fast — dies mid-meeting, runs hot
- Mic, camera, or audio not working in Zoom or Teams
- Files that won't sync — iCloud, Dropbox, OneDrive stuck
- Other software, configuration, and system-health issues

If a problem is out of scope — a dead SSD, a recovery situation, an OS reinstall
— Noah says so and points you to who can help. No bluffing.

## What Noah does NOT do

Noah is not a hardware repair service. For cracked screens, battery replacement,
liquid damage, a dying SSD, or board-level repair, use Apple or a local repair
provider. Noah handles software, configuration, performance, network, app, sync,
and system-health issues — and tells you plainly when a problem is hardware so
you know whether to book a repair appointment.

## How Noah is different from a chatbot

ChatGPT can suggest terminal commands. Noah inspects your machine, identifies the
likely cause, proposes a safe fix, asks for approval, executes the fix, and
records what changed. Every action is a hand-built tool with a fixed scope —
Noah cannot run arbitrary shell or PowerShell.

## How Noah is different from a local repair shop

Use Noah first for software issues: a slow computer, app crashes, Wi-Fi,
printers, updates, disk space, backups, and security checks. Use a local repair
shop for physical damage, liquid damage, a broken screen, a failing battery, or
board-level repair.

## What Noah reads

Only what the operating system exposes to any app: processes (the same list
Activity Monitor or Task Manager shows), CPU and memory, free disk, network, and
the system log. No files. No browser history. No passwords. No screen capture.

## Safety

Every change is logged and undoable — "undo that" works. Destructive operations
need a second confirmation. Noah never runs anything you haven't seen and
approved.

## Platforms

- macOS 12+ — Apple Silicon and Intel
- Windows 10+ — x64 and ARM64

## Pricing

Free to start. Download Noah and describe your first problem to see what it
finds. Pricing is shown in the app, and nothing is charged until you choose to
pay.
